Meet Yeou-Ling
Yeou-Ling Wen began her musical journey at a young age singing and playing on her sisters’ piano. She is a classically trained opera singer and plays a variety of instruments as a clinical music therapist.
Yeou-Ling took a gap year after completing her bachelor’s degree teaching in Taiwan with Musik Garden and Gymboree. Upon returning home to Australia she focused on early childhood music pedagogy teaching ages 0-5 with Gymboree and Kindermusik while advancing her skills and studying her Master of Music. She was trained in early intervention piano/keyboard courses with International School of Music and Forte School of Music.
Yeou-Ling completed her Master of Creative Music Therapy in Sydney, Australia at the Golden Stave Music Therapy Centre as part of the University of Western Sydney where she experienced a range of different music therapy clinical settings from disabilities across all ages, autistic school, aged care then towards graduation she started working at a behavioural high school in North Sydney and taking on private clients in music therapy.
Her passion includes paediatric music therapy working with ASD, ADHD and other behavioural and developmental challenges. She has a strong belief in establishing music competency and literacy as early as possible through singing, instrumental playing and aural training.
